I love getting a delivery of Campbeltown Single Malts from Pacific Edge Wine & Spirits (distributor). These whiskies usually fly under the radar, which makes sense when you research the history of this southern Scotch-producing region. Campbeltown used to be a bustling example of quality Scotch until several global and local events caused all but 2 distilleries to remain operational. Now we have Glengyle distllery producing Kilkerran as well as Springbank distillery producing Hazelburn (unpeated) Springbank (medium peat) & Longrow (heavily peated). These are quality whiskies with every aspect of the whisky making process done locally. That counts for something!
